This month we teamed up with two outstanding community partners to make critical repairs to four homes in Idlewood Village, Kingwood Forest, and Parkside of Raleigh—all established, historically Black neighborhoods in Southeast Raleigh.
While our team provided the construction expertise, Southeast Raleigh Promise recruited and engaged community volunteers and local leaders, and Wells Fargo contributed a generous $75,000 grant plus ample volunteer support! In fact, this year Wells Fargo is donating $1.3 MM to provide essential, no-cost home repairs in more than 45 communities nationwide.
Through our collective efforts, we installed HVAC systems and flooring, rebuilt decks, updated plumbing and electrical systems, cleared yard debris, and completed other miscellaneous repairs. These improvements helped change the lives of three senior homeowners and one single mother with two young children.
